Preparing for Shows

My lesson went great! He jumped fabulous and listened to the slightest command. It was so hot out that after i had to sponge him down and handwalk him to cool him down! Last week he got (jumped!) out of his pasture and they found him eating grass in the front yard!
The bath worked wonders i havent even touched him with a brush here!

Its blury but a good jump!

Lesson

my lesson went great, we worked on jumping (obvi) and broken lines to fences. He jumped great, his trot was great and he stayed in his hunter frame while trotting, not once holding his head high. My sitting trot is now great because he puts me in a soft place to sit because of his frame.

Pictures of Saturday!

The grass finally coming up!

Saturday the 27

I rode Sky outside today! It was a alot of fun, but he didn't want to walk, it was trot and canter all the time! He was as dirty as ever when we got there....such a pain to clean.

The past 2 weeks

a cute pic!!
A picture from days ago right before all of the snow melted.
It has been a great last 2 weeks. We have been able to ride outside a couple of times. I have also been able to ride in the long sleeved T and a vest. Its wonderful. Sky has been caked with mud though, which is a pain to clean off. Julie taped my lesson last week. We watched the one from Sptember 2009 first, and then the one from March 2010. It is amazing how much both of us have improved.

Saturday Fun

Sky loves the snow! We went to the stables and just let him play in the snow outside of the arena. He would put his nose down in the snow until it was the whole way in and then come up eating snow!
