..........................................

Well the vet took X-rays and it not good but its not bad. He is thinking that Sky has very slight arthitis in his right front. But if he had not been lame he wouldn't have even looked at it. He was trying to find something wrong. But he says he should be able to jump, but he has to get front shoes. But he should be back to normal after that! But if not its shopping for a new horse.

Sky

Sky is on stall rest and is unfortunatley having X-rays. THe vet is coming this week when he does all of the horses shots, which is good cause then we wont have to pay a barn fee all by ourselves. He is soooo bored its not even funny. I did take him out and he got to eat a little grass. Here are some of my pics with my new camera!!!

Well........

Sky definately needs shoes! Its kinda of exciting but not. He will have them all of the time from now on. But before that we have to get xrays on his leg to see what the issue is. $40 a shot and he will need 4-6 of them, sooooo yeah. :( But it is worth it if it makes him feel better. He is on stall/some pasture rest at the moment for 1-2 weeks.

WOW

So Patty calls today and said we just brought Sky in he can only walk a few steps and then stops the vet will come some time tomorrow, he is in his stall now. So much for calling the vet when we told them to maybe this wouldnt have happen :( Cant wait till the end of October!!

Welll.....

well both the vet and farrier said it could be from the crack. We have two options to put shoes on or have the bet out for a lameness exam. Talking to Sandi to see what she thinks. Either way no riding for this week, maybe longer.

Lame Horse

I went down Wednesday for my lesson and i got on, and at the trot he would bob his head (which is a sign of lameness) and he wouldnt trot when i asked, which is sooooo not normal. His beat also felt very off. We went down today (Sunday) and i got on, i knew something wasnt right. When i asked him to trot he wouldn't and when he did it was off and he would lurch off his front right and the head bobbing was worse. That hoof has a crack in it which is what we thought caused it on wed. He also tripped alot :( So i got off, we called Sandi and told her. When i took him in the cross ties, i looked i his legs and was like OMG his right is soooooo swelled (from the pastern down to the top of the hoof), it was like double the size of his left. Poor Sky! We are having the vet in to look at it. My buddy will probably be on stall rest for like 2-4 weeks. Ohh well we will still have fun!!!
