Tuesday

He was great today. I rode him for about an hour. It was great fun. At one point i was just having fun and dropped the reins, i picked one back up to steer and himand he remebers reining from waaaaaaaay back. He did great!! we were doing figure 8s at the trot with my one hand on my leg and no legs aids to help him.....maybe i should switch back to western........NOT! it was fun though. Then we went on a mini trail ride. It was sooooooooooooooooo much fun. LESSON TOMORROW!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Riding in the new boots

Today i rode in my new tall boots!! Not the most comfortable things :-P I worked on striding inbetween 2 poles. He did great! I also worked on sitting trot, collected and extended gates, and jumping. I kept the jump low since it was the first time in my boots.


After schooling, i took him outside on a mini trail ride. The first time i rode outsince before the episode!!! He did great.

Sky's Show

Sky did great at his horsey slumber party! We went the first day and schooled him over the wild flowery jumps. He did a refusal the first time and then he jumped them all great. We bathed him and then put him in his stall to rest, then watched some classes. The next day we got up at 5:30 to get there at 6:30ish. He got schooled over the jumps again and never refused or ran out. He did absolutley great. There ended up being 21 people in the flat class so i didnt show this time. He did great on his 2 over courses classes. He didnt refuse and him and courtney got pretty good spots on them all. There were nine jumps in each course which was pretty odd. He also did great in his flat class! With 20-25 i'm not sure how many other horses in there with him all cantering at the same time. Here are some pics of his jumping, i might put the video up later but it takes forever, so i might not.

Lesson

My lesson went great. We jumped and then had a mini show. He did great at both:) Headin down today to give the boy a bath, then packing stuff, cleaning tack, and getting ready for the show.

Sunday

Sky did great on his dressage. I didnt ride very long cause i will see him tuesday, wed, thursday,friday and saturday.Headin down in a few hours to get his mane pulled, i will post a pic as soon as i get back. :-)

Sat

I rode Sky today and worked on jumping. He did great! We also went back to the boot fitters to get refitted cause he didnt think i had that small of calves but i did. Headin down tomorrow, having a dressage day!

Great Day!

I didnt have a lesson this week, sooooooo i decided to jump on my own. He did great!!!! Always before (after he got crazy) he would run out or refuse one or two on the first jumps. Today not even hesitation! He was great and lazy at the trot again over jumps and they were exactly like before!!!!!!! I never thought i would be sooo happy that they are low, at the right height not high. He is not a green jumper anymore so he doesnt jump it high....he knows what height he is supposed to jump and jumps that height.

The next few days

I might be having a lesson with coutrney this week, since sandi had to cancle all her lessons this week due to health issues. I hope i dont have to miss a lesson though, but if i do no biggie:) Headin down on sat and maybe sunday, but doubtful since the sis is coming home on monday afternoon;)

Saturday and Sunday

I went to the stables saturday night and rode in the outdoor, took some pics and the video is above of his walk to canter transition. its not his best but its good. Sunday evening gramma and grandad went down. I warmed him up in the outdoor, then went to the indoor to work on poles. He did great with everything and was very responsive and forward:)
