Friday Evening

I rode sky today and he did fab!! we did ground poles, walked, trotted, cantered, and all of those in extended and collected. We also worked on voice commands, spirals, 10 meter circles trot to halt and walk to canter trasitions. he did them all very well. Them we made up a pretty sweet pattern with ground poles and trotting and cantering. Took my boots to the fitters picking them up soon. Sky is great his mane pulled, body trimmed, and all shaped up for the show. Headin to the barn Sat and Sun too.

Lesson

I had my lesson today. He did great. I jumped two jumps that were set up to make a corner in the middle of the arena, and just kept doing figure 8s. It was a lot of fun!!!!!!!!!!no new pics maybe next lesson!

Tack shop buys

I went to the tack shop yesterday. I bought lots of stuff actually around 100 dollars of stuff.

Today

headin to a tack shop to buy show stuff, then maybe to the stables.

Riding with Tiffaney

I decided to ride with Tiffaney so that Sky could get used to other horses. He did great. We practiced passing at all of the paces and him being passed at all of the paces. It was a lot of fun. And Token ( Tiff's horse) did great too.

Sunday

I went to the stables today. It was way to hot to ride and since he did great on wed i gave him the day off. We went into the indoor and just had fun. he was great and really funny. Lookin to head down on mon or tues then wed for my lesson!!!

Tomorrow

Headin to the stables tomorrow.....planning on a dressage day with half passes, collected and extended canter and trot, our training level dressage test, and my sitting trot......also practicing his voice commands:) I will post pics of something or other tomorrow. Also have to go to Pittsburgh to get my show boots custom fitted for the show:-) Excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Have i mention lately how lucky i am to own a horse that is healthy, aims to please, and is soooooo fun to be around.........perfect!

Lesson

I had a lesson with Courtney today. It was sooooo hot but sky did great! We jumped for about half an hour. He is doing wonderful and Barry happened to be there and said.."man they look good" it was really funny. Courtney said she was proud of me many times for practicing what she told me to and for jumping a two foot oxer. Sky was literally dripping sweat though:(. She also asked me to take Sky to a show in august sooooo we will see!!! its august 13 and 14 and just a little show, jennifer.....you will have to come be my groom cause i dont know how to braid! But i might do a flat class and courtney will either jump him in the schooling ring or enter him in a small class! It will be interesting to see what he does.

A Hot Day

I went to the stables, but just groomed him and let him eat for a little. The indoor is hot, stuffy, and dusty this time of year. He was soooooo clean.

Sky's Box

I got this box from grandad and sanded it and then painted it! All of his stuff looks and fits good in it!!!!! I painted a jumper on the top, carrots and apples on the front and a horseshoe and HORSES on each side.
