Wenesday
Two pics from the video they are blurry but good! More pics tomorrow!
Sky was great. Very forward and perky and happy, but great. He loves his new home and has made some pretty good friends. His best bud is now in the stall right beside him and they are out to pasture together. How much better can life get? I jumped him in the outdoor, talking about speedy, the video below is good and he jumped the second high, almost a run-out but i caught him in time, an almost buck afterward too! He was just happy:)

Lesson
My lesson was great!!!!! We worked on jumping a line. The first was a jump about a foot and a half, the second was a ground pole, and the third was the same height as the first. After jumping, i had to work at transitions in walk trot and canter, and transistions within the gaits.....all in two point! I was in 2-point for like 10 minutes. Then the rest of the lesson, we worked on his dressage and hunter frames, leg yeilding, shoulder ins, and i had to do all of that at a sitting trot.....yuck!

Saturday
Its been cold out and Sky has been wearing his brown sheet that matches the brown in on his head perfectly. :) I love how clean and silky he stays underneath! I rode him in the indoor to warm him up, then took him up to the outdoor. I jumped him around and he was being soo good that I decided to walk him around the outdoor (they have a strip mowed the wholeway around so you can go outside the ring and cool them down and take a mini trail ride). We got down to the far end and he legit hopped! all four feet came of the ground lol straight up. He was literally scared by a groundhog.....like hes never seen one before. What a baby :) It was very interesting! My lesson last Wednesday went great, we jumped and worked bounces and jumping on a circle. It was a lot of work.....but very fun. Lesson on Monday night this week!!!!!!!

Lately
Sky has been great lately! We have ridden in the outdoor a few times and ridden in the indoor once and worked on poles. I also had a lesson. I have been enjoying the outdoor and having room to jump. On saturday, a rode and then took him on a path between pine trees and a pasture, and trotted him on the lead. It was a lot of fun and its good to know he still listens outside.

My lesson was on Wednesday, and he was great, we jumped a course already and there were two other horses in there!:o It was challenging and alot of fun having to jump and watch two other horses too, while keeping Sky at a collected canter! I was legit sweating when i was done, it was hard work but i loved it. i still love the outdoor tooooooo!!!!!!!!!!

I love this stables!!! Saddlebrook was nice, but this is most def awesome! The people are so kind and helpful. They have two dogs, one a big bull dog and the other a lab. They also have a pond full of ducks, every color and size! The indoor arena is the same size or maybe a bit bigger than at Saddlebrook, but the outdoor is AMAZING!!! I rode Sky in it for the first time on Saturday, it was a blast. I have never ridden him in a ring that big. It is Olympic size, I swear I might get lost in there. There is a 16 year old girl that boards there and I am looking forward to meeting her. He is settling in great, loves his new pasture buddies and loves his stall. Only because he is on the end and can look into the tack room and see what everybody is doing, everybody gives him pats and treats. As you can imagine………he absolutely hates that. He can also hang his head over the stall door all the time:) The view from anywhere in the barn or in the fields is great. White fence posts everywhere! The house there is huge, 8,000 square feet. I think we will have a lot of fun there! Especially since both Sandi and Courtney are there! We went to a tack shop and a bought Sky a new saddle pad, it’s the blue one in the pics! I don’t have it in the pictures because he didn’t need it, but I bought a blue crop, like the exact same color as the saddle pad, and it has pink swirls in it too!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know I am a matching freak!:)
